Export all data from a videoask

You can easily export all questions, responses, videos and audio files from a videoask.

You’ll need to be logged in as the organization owner to export all data. The email address associated with the VideoAsk account will receive an email to download the zip file and it’ll contain the following:

  • Form data in JSON and CSV formats
  • All responses from respondents in CSV format
  • Questions in CSV format
  • Video and audio files (.mp4 or .mp3)
  • Any follow-up replies and interactions

To export all data:

Log in to your VideoAsk account that you’re an organization owner of. Select a videoask and click the download button.

Or you can click the 3 dots on a videoask and select Export.

Select All data and click Download.

You’ll receive an email notifying you that the zip file is ready to be downloaded. Email will be sent to the email address associated with your VideoAsk account. This could take some time depending on how many responses your videoask has.

Open the email from notifications@videoask.com and click the Download Securely button.

You’ll then be directed to log into your VideoAsk account if you’re not logged in already.

Next, you’ll see a list of all zip files you’ve exported. Click on a file to start the download.

In your downloads folder on your computer, open the zip file.

The zip file contains the following:

  • Media - Contains all .mp3/.mp4 media files for audio and videos from responses and questions.
  • Responses folder - Contains respondents that have landed on a videoask in JSON format with references to the media files (video/audio) relevant to the respective response.
  • Responses.csv - CSV file that contains all the responses from the videoask.
  • Questions.csv - CSV file that contains all the questions and relevant media for each question.
  • Form.json - Contains all form information and questions in JSON format with references to relevant media files in the media folder.
