Turn on video captions in your videoask

To make videoasks more accessible and engaging, creators and respondents can turn on closed captions (subtitles) in each video.

Not only does this enhance accessibility, but it also adds an extra layer of engagement by allowing viewers to follow along with the dialogue more easily. Create a more inclusive and immersive experience for all users with closed captions.

Respondents viewing your videoask can turn on captions by clicking "CC" in the video controls at the top of your video:

Creators can choose to have captions enabled by default. This means the captions will display in muted autoplay before respondents press the play button to view your video.

Note: Even if you turn off this setting, respondents can still turn on captions themselves in the video controls

💡 Pro tip: If you have captions enabled to show by default, but you want to make sure they show only when your respondent has clicked the play button, you can add a parameter to the end of your videoask URL so captions do not show in preview mode.
